UAW President Dennis Williams Explains Next Steps for Ratification of Tentative Agreement with FCA US LLC
UAW and FCA US LLC extend contract on hour-by-hour basis

The UAW and FCA US LLC announced this evening that they have extended the existing collective bargaining agreement on an hour by hour basis as 2015 bargaining continues.
In a message from UAW Vice President Cindy Estrada and the 2015 UAW-GM National Negotiating Team, the UAW confirmed that they had extended this year’s contract deadline with General Motors. The full statement as it appeared on the UAW’s Facebook page:

Teamsters President Hoffa Pledges Solidarity with UAW Members
In remarks at the Detroit Labor Day Parade today, International Brotherhood of Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa pledged solidarity with the United Auto Workers (UAW) in their contract negotiations with the Big Three: Ford, Chrysler and GM.
“I know you haven’t picked a target yet, but it’s one of those three,” Hoffa said. “If the UAW goes on strike, I make a pledge on behalf of the 1.4 million Teamster members – we will honor your picket lines. We will walk with you every day. The Teamsters and the UAW are together. They aren’t going to haul those cars if we’re there.”
Uaw Local 239 Membership held at Strike Vote on Tuesday August 25, 2015. The Membership voted overwhelmingly "For" a Strke, if nessary, in the current UAW GM 2015 Contract . The results of the Vote are posted on the Union Board in the Plant.
