Good News from Your Union

Local 848 members at Qarbon in Red Oak, Texas, ratified their new contract by a hefty majority. Chairman Adam Rondon told the April membership meeting that they had finally rid themselves of management's worst practices and made good improvements for the members and their families. 

The secret to winning without having to endure a strike is to be absolutely ready to go on strike and to make sure that management knows it. 

The 100% strike authorization vote showed Qarbon management that we meant business!

Retirees Go On Line

Local 848's retirees are a lot more technologically capable than those of yesteryear. They are also a lot more scattered out since the early days of LTV when everybody lived as close as they could get to the LTV plant.
