Remembering Chase Buie

On August 27, 2023, union brothers and sisters, family, and friends of Chase Buie gathered at the Uptown Theater on Main Street in Grand Prairie. There was a big turnout and a lot of love.

Anthony Esparza, current president of UAW 848, brought a box with the last few buttons that Chase Buie designed and manufactured by hand. Esparza and others pointed out that Buie pulled the local's ashes out of the fire by getting a first contract for the workers at the Red Oak facility after the disastrous closing of the old Grand Prairie manufacturing center.
