Thomas Parker - Faith Has a Seat at the Table
 

My journey into this role to be an ordained Chaplain wasn’t by chance, it was divine. 
 

A moment of clarity, calling, and alignment that reminded me exactly who I am and why I’m here. Standing in the presence of fellow believers and labor leaders, I saw firsthand the undeniable power that rises when faith and service walk side by side. It shook something in me. 
 

Being chosen to represent UAW Local 3520 in this capacity is more than a charge; it’s a mantle. And I don’t carry it lightly.
 

The timing, the opportunity, the trust, it was all divinely orchestrated. Being hand-picked wasn’t just a decision, it was purpose in motion. I’m humbled, but I’m also ready. This isn’t just spiritual work, it’s holistic. 
 

It’s about showing up for our people in real, tangible ways. To advocate. To uplift. To pray and to protect. To intercede for those who may never say a word but are silently carrying the weight of life. People like me! 
 

Someone saw something in me and chose to invest in it, and because of that, I’m committed to making sure that faith never gets pushed to the margins. Not on my watch. Not in this Union. As long as I’m serving, faith will always have a seat at the table.--
