Due to the adoption of our updated Local Union Bylaws, effective February 20, 2025, it is required that we elect up to twelve (12) members per committee to comply with the new language.


UAW Local 276 Bylaws Article 10, Section 1, N, (1) states:
“Each Committee shall have up to twelve (12) members nominated and elected after the Chairperson and Alternate Chairperson positions have been filled. Committees shall also have volunteers on committees.”

 

All active members in good standing stand nominated for the following positions:

  • Chaplaincy Committee (12 positions available)
  • Citizenship and Legislative (CAP) Committee member (12 positions available)
  • Civil and Human Rights Committee member (12 positions available)
  • Community Services Committee member (12 positions available)
  • Conservation and Recreation Committee member (12 positions available)
  • Constitution and Bylaws Committee member (12 positions available)
  • Consumer Affairs Committee member (12 positions available)
  • Education Committee member (12 positions available)
  • LGBTQIA+ Committee (12 positions available)
  • Member-to-Member Committee (12 positions available)
  • Organizing Committee member (12 positions available)
  • Union Label Committee member (12 positions available)
  • Veterans Committee member (12 positions available)
  • Women’s Committee member (12 positions available)


Timeframe for nomination acceptance for standing committee membership: August 18-22, 2025, and August 25-29, 2025, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Acceptance forms will be available at UAW Local 276, 2505 W. E. Roberts Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75051.
