COLA UPDATE – JUNE 2026

The Consumer Price Index three-month average for November 2025, December 2025, and January 2026 was 306.410.  The three-month average index for Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) for the periods of February, March, and April 2026 are computed as follows:

CHICK-FIL-A

On Thursday, June 24, 2026, Chick-fil-A will be on site during all three lunch periods.  Every employee will receive a sandwich, chips, and a bottle of water.  We will have stations set up throughout the plant to make sure everyone gets a hot Chick-fil-A sandwich.  This is one small way to say thank you for everything you do.

GENERAL MOTORS NORTH AMERICA PROFITS – 1ST QUARTER 2026

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, General Motors announced that General Motors North America made $3.7 billion Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) for the 1st Quarter of 2026.

SPECIAL ATTRITION PACKAGE (SAP)

As of today, there are 1,507 members that have signed up to take part in the SAP, of which 348 are Skilled Trades.

TEMPORARY AND INDEFINITE LAYOFF

There are 2,438 UAW members on indefinite layoff in the General Motors division, with another 949 members on temporary layoff.

SOLIDARITY WEDNESDAY

We would like to thank all members that are participating and wearing their Red Shirt on Wednesdays.  This shows a form of SOLIDARITY and is an important statement to the membership as well as management.

SHOP RULE #7

Make sure that you are at work on time and in your area at the start of the shift.  In addition, with the ongoing construction and World Cup soccer here in Arlington please give yourself extra time to get to work. Management has started to increase disciplinary actions for Shop Rule #7 (late) so make sure that you have time for unforeseen traffic in the Arlington area.
