UNIT 1 (GM) ALL NEW EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROCESS
The Local Union and Management have come to an agreement to start a new referral process for employment at General Motors Arlington Assembly. This process will ensure our members have a voice in who they work with and allows them to bring their friends and family to the front of the line. After much discussion, the Local Union and Management have mutually agreed to the following:
1. Applicant / referred employee must apply on the hiring website portal.
2. The referring person (employee) must send an email to [email protected] that must include the following information regarding the applicant / referred employee:
Employee to be Referred: Full Name, Address, Phone Number, E-Mail Address
Referring Person - Employee: Full Name, GMIN, Relationship to Employee Referred
3. Applicant / referred employee must complete the entire hiring process.
Each employee will receive one (1) referral on a quarterly basis.
Adopting this process is a step in the right direction for the plant and will ensure that we have a future for many years to come for our friends and families.
