General Motors has announced that effective 3-4-2022 at 8:00am that the Arlington Assembly Facility, will be relaxing the COVID Safety Protocols to align with the new guidance from the CDC.

What you need to know:

• Effective immediately, facilities located in a county with a CDC designation of low or medium risk may move to optional masking and physical distancing for all employees, regardless of vaccination status, unless there is a state or local requirement prohibiting such action. GM will provide masks for those who choose to wear them or they may bring their own mask in to wear.
• Facilities located in CDC high risk counties must continue to require masking and physical distancing.
• If you are at risk of serious COVID-19 illness due to underlying medical conditions, we recommend you consider continuing to wear masks for protection. Your personal physician or a GM physician can provide advice.
• If you have symptoms associated with COVID-19, test positive or become a close contact, notify your supervisor, the 1-800 absence line and plant Medical.
• GM will continue to follow the CDC's Quarantine and Isolation Guidelines for employees testing positive or identified as close contacts.
