"1st Shift work is available for Stamping, Body, Paint and associated Material employees.
"1st Shift work is also available for Quality, Final Process and Care employees.
A tentative agreement has been reached between the UAW and General Motors. (Updates on the next steps in the process will be posted as they become available.) Therefore, strike duties have been SUSPENDED starting immediately. You are NOT required to report for your strike duty assignments. Another update will be posted when we find out when GM-Arlington workers are to report back to work at the plant.
If your strike duty is scheduled on Tuesdays (either from 9:30 AM to 2:00 pm OR 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM), you must come to the Union Hall today (Saturday, October 28, 2023) or tomorrow (Sunday, October 29, 2023) to make up your strike duty. Please ask for a member of the Strike Committee when you show up and they will get you set up.
This is to bring to the attention of all members of Local 276, that the UAW has decided to call on Local 276 to join the UAW's "Stand-Up Strike" at the Arlington Plant effective immediately. All members and all shifts are requested to refrain from going to the plant and should be prepared to report for strike duty as soon as possible.
