UAW Local 848's Membership Meetings are 2nd Sundays at 2PM at 2218 E Main in Grand Prairie. All members and retirees, and their families, are invited. Leadership is required to attend. Virtually everything the union does is approved at Membership Meetings, and our decisions affect everybody.

Local 848 members at Qarbon in Red Oak, Texas, ratified their new contract by a hefty majority. Chairman Adam Rondon told the April membership meeting that they had finally rid themselves of management's worst practices and made good improvements for the members and their families. 

Aerospace workers at Qarbon in Red Oak, Texas, have authorized a strike. 

The UAW is proud of our many veterans. Along with other good retirees, we meet on 2nd Thursdays at 11.

UAW Region 8 is asking for donations to help our brothers and sisters hurt by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

New leadership was sworn in at the June 30, 2024 monthly membership meeting. International Rep David Barker led the oath from the UAW constitution.
