Unit 1 (GM) Open International Appointments

Please see below for the current open International Appointments available to Unit 1 (GM) employees.  The positions are 1st Shift Alternate Health & Safety Representative, 2nd Shift ADAPT Representative, and 2nd Shift Human Resources Development (HRD) Representative.  Applications and resumes will be accepted at the Union Hall (2505 W E Roberts Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75051) from Friday, April 14, 2023 through Friday, May 12, 2023 at 4:00 PM.  A fillable application can also be found below.

I would like to first thank the members of Local 276 for letting me represent them as a Delegate to the 2023 Constitutional Bargaining Convention.  This was a week that held a wealth of information and support for the upcoming negotiations with General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis.

Last week your UAW Local 276 Constitutional Delegates attended the 2023 National Bargaining Convention.

The UAW bargaining conference opened as usual: delegates from across the country were there to give our national negotiating team general guidance concerning the resolutions that were submitted by members from every local, including ours.

THE SHOP COMMITTEE WILL BE HOLDING INFORMATIONAL CLASSES AND ASSISTING MEMBERS IN FILLING OUT RESOLUTION FORMS FOR PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE 2023 ARLINGTON LOCAL CONTRACT AGREEMENT

                   3RD SHIFT 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM

                   1ST & 2ND SHIFT 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Unit 1 (GM) Employee Referral Process

UNIT 1 (GM) ALL NEW EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROCESS

The Local Union and Management have come to an agreement to start a new referral process for employment at General Motors Arlington Assembly.  This process will ensure our members have a voice in who they work with and allows them to bring their friends and family to the front of the line.  After much discussion, the Local Union and Management have mutually agreed to the following:
