Car and Bike Show

The UAW Local 276 Recreation Committee presents a Car and Bike Show (and crawfish boil)!

When:  Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM (crawfish served at 4:00 PM)
Where:  UAW Local 276 Union Hall (2505 W. E. Roberts Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75051)
What:  Car contest and prizes for: best in show, best old school, loudest sounds, and best in show truck.  Bike contest and prizes for: best sports bike, best cruiser, best sounds, and specialty division.

We will also have games for kids!

The Local Union and Management are committed to aid in the process of running operations while also providing relief for our members, including their ability to get scheduled time off and to improve their quality of life.  After much discussion, the Local Union and Management have mutually agreed to the following:

Please see below for the current open International Appointments available to Unit 1 (GM) employees.  The positions are 1st Shift Alternate Health & Safety Representative, 2nd Shift ADAPT Representative, and 2nd Shift Human Resources Development (HRD) Representative.  Applications and resumes will be accepted at the Union Hall (2505 W E Roberts Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75051) from Friday, April 14, 2023 through Friday, May 12, 2023 at 4:00 PM.  A fillable application can also be found below.

Unit 1 (GM) Shop Chairperson's Constitutional Bargaining Convention Report

I would like to first thank the members of Local 276 for letting me represent them as a Delegate to the 2023 Constitutional Bargaining Convention.  This was a week that held a wealth of information and support for the upcoming negotiations with General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis.

President's National Bargaining Convention Report

Last week your UAW Local 276 Constitutional Delegates attended the 2023 National Bargaining Convention.

The UAW bargaining conference opened as usual: delegates from across the country were there to give our national negotiating team general guidance concerning the resolutions that were submitted by members from every local, including ours.
